REVIEWS: HELEN HAYES RECOMMENDED!
“Sci-fi spoof Little Shop of Horrors is hilarious at Compass Rose Theater.
Compass Rose Theater’s production of Little Shop of Horrors is a hilarious, jazzy musical. Directed by Madeline Austin, with musical direction by Jack Benedict, it is a fun musical to end the season with.
Director Madeline Austin keeps the energy high with lots of movement. The way Audrey II disposes of those it devours is clever. The actors hit the right comic and emotional moments. Little Shop of Horrors is great fun for the whole family, from those who grew up with the musical and know every song to those who have never seen it.” ~ DC THEATER ARTS, Charles Green, March 1, 2025

#1 ~ The Little Shop of Horrors at Compass Rose Theater
“Who can resist a tale of love, greed, and carnivorous plants? For more than 40 years, the musical The Little Shop of Horrors has delighted audiences around the globe…. Now, Compass Rose Theater in Annapolis has made this kitschy, classic musical their own.
Under the direction of Madeline Austin, Maxwell Wolf leads this talent cast as the bumbling amateur botanist, Seymour….This cast delivers strong vocals and even acting from beginning to end. They are a delight to watch.”
